I need your help. I would like to wind up the 'unmasked' series over the next few months, but I need more masks. I am especially fond of animal masks, vintage masks, and other interesting designs. I like ones that are simple. We do not want to use latex masks or monster masks or masks with hair or anything fetish-like. If you have something lying around that you have no use for and would like to donate it to our project, I'd be really grateful. While I am not looking to purchase these (thus the word DONATION), I would definitely send you an 8 x 12 copy of the photo (with your mask in it, on X) when the series is completed.
Also, we are desperately looking for a Darth Vader mask and one-color fancy dresses or other monochromatic (brightly-colored OR pastel) outfits in women's size 2 or 4.
If you have a mask (or dress/outfit) that you'd like to send us, please email me: sonotcool at-a-tat-tat gmail dotty-dot com.

They all come out at Halloween and then you can never remember where to find them!
This is a really cool series. I wish I had something to send...
I wish I had something to contribute! I'll keep an eye out on manhattan and brooklyn freecycle.
"sonotcool at-a-tat-tat gmail dotty-dot com. " LOL, somebody's enjoying their day 4sure!
i just remembered, there is a mask hanging in our livingroom that our friend Karen left behind...it's frog-like...wait, i think i might have a pick of it here. i can't give it away, but i could loan it...hmm...
@Southland - I always use this when I post my email in public to avoid spam bots.
I think I have 3 masks! And one is really wild- it's from Africa and has real animal teeth! I will look in the attic when I get home from work.
what the crap? fetish-like?
wow. creepy you have to say that.
@OneHotProcessor - On Flickr, we joined a mask group to post photos, and all sorts of, um, odd people subscribed to me. Creepy, indeed!
Now I want to create a mask that would be useful. Surely with my theater experience I could come up with something.
Hmmm if I wasn't such a chicken of bad mojo I would recreate a Hopi mask. But I will put my thinking/creating cap on. How soon do you want these masks?
@IagosEnvy - I want to finish this over the next 2 - 3 months; I'd love to do an exhibit around Halloween, maybe. We had thought to make paper mache masks, but I'm SO lazy (and already have too many irons in the fire). I'm looking for stuff that isn't too complicated in detail (only a few colors or solid), but wild shapes would be cool and something homemade would be awesome. If you decide to make one, I'd be honored (but don't feel obligated).
I already have it taking shape in my head and if this is going to work out I will have it done well withing the time frame. Very simple in form and now I know to keep it tone down I will not get wild with the colors. Just another question are horns okay? I am not set on adding them but it might look kinda cool. Maybe too viking-ish though?
@IagosEnvy - Yes, horns would be awesome. And, we love all things Norse!! ANYTHING you come up with will be cool, I am sure!
@soNOTcool -
I had the same problem with weird flickr subscribers and I'm not even in any kinky mask groups. : P
Wish I had one to send
