    most painful
    to paint
    is the reality
    that i rained.

    brooks
    streamed down
    incline of neck,
    splashed across
    horizontal
    swell of breast.

    a quiet
    evening shower.

    the earth:
    none the wiser,
    feeling not the
    absence of sun
    though draped
    in shade.
