time management problem, or just lazy?
Okay, I have said this before and I'm sure I'll feel it necessary to say it again, and everyone will be, like, 'oh, don't worry; it's okay' ... but, I AM REALLY FRICKEN BEHIND ON COMMENTING!!!! (And, emailing. And, snail mailing. And, household paperwork. And, DVR'd shows. And, reading the growing stack of books beside my nightstand because they no longer fit ON MY NIGHTSTAND.)
Every day, I read Bloglines or my Xanga subscriptions, and I think of witty replies or words of encouragement or declarations of adoration that I want to pass along, and yet I don't have time/energy/mental ability at that moment. I occasionally get out a few sporadic comments, just not very often.
All I'm saying is that if you haven't heard from me lately, it's not a reflection of my interest, but merely my inability to time manage my life.
Also? Home comforts: day fourteen.

No biggie, as predicted. I love to hear from you, but I know people get busy with real life and such.
lazy or easily distracted? i think the latter for me. what the heck is that mushroom looking thing? you know i see odd things sometimes
@Southland - ??? Are you talking about the gold canister (with coasters in it)?
is the lid a lid or a coaster?? maybe i should get my eyes checked LOL!
@Southland - Molly, I don't know what the heck you are seeing. It is a cansiter. The lid is on it. The sides of the canister are reflecting the vintage platter. The coasters are inside and not visible.
And, yes ... when did you last see the ophthalmologist?!
okay, so it IS a lid (and not a mushroom!) i SEEEE now
i'm putting off my eye check as long as i can, i'm afraid not only will my reading glasses get stronger, but i'll also have to get regular glasses again - i am TOO YOUNG for bifocals!! *insert 4 -eyed emoticon here* or
@Southland - Umm, don't you work in a business where you rely upon your eyes?! Not to mention your photos!!!!! ---->
you can't see me right now, but i'm 4 inches from the computer screen LOL!
I thought it was a souffle. I didn't realize it was a lid! (An odd-looking, lumpy(?) lid to be sure!)
Hey, if you don't have time or energy, then you don't got it. Don't sweat it. (But you KNEW we'd say that.)
I feel like I rarely comment these days, either, although I suppose I probably comment more than most folks who are crazy-busy... What can I say, I'm a blog fiend!
@KameraSutra - The lid is actually completely smooth and glossy. I think that perhaps the gold paint is somewhat textured beneath the gloss. It's always so interesting when something tricks the eye.
This comment thread is hilarious. I knew it was a canister right away.
And, I am completely lazy. I love reading everyone's blogs but rarely comment in a meaningful way even though I am thinking many meaningful things. If that makes any sense.
@kitkatsplash - It totally makes sense. I think of great comments, but if only my intentions were magical comments that typed themselves ... I need, like, brain wifi or something.
Haha... I didn't know it was a lid either. At first glance I thought it was some sort of round fruit or ball...but now I see the sides of it. The plate is very cool though And regarding the commenting... as long as you're still blogging I'm happy
LOVE YOU. yes i am totally yelling.
now it's starting to look more like a hamburger bun
@Southland - I think you're getting closer!
I didn't think it was a mushroom but I didn't think it was a cannister, either. Not sure what I thought other than: Jodi has a pretty plate and something to put on it and per usual has come up with a lovely picture. But the comments are hilarious!
Speaking of which, I seldom comment although I read several Xanga blogs on a regular basis. Guess that makes me more of a lurker than a commenter.
Oh man, when I first saw that I thought it was a cornbread muffin... now that I look again, it's a little too shiny!!
I comment on almost every post I read, but probably hit 'Submit' once for every 10, max. I over-think things waaay too much, or I get distracted and find the window 3 days later.
@wixer - I lurk on a lot of blogs, not on Xanga, but on other platforms, which I read through Bloglines. I probably lurk way more than I comment there.
@freethegnomes - I comment on every post ... in my head.
Thank you sweet Jodi
i agree with the corn muffin idea thats what i saw. the plate rocks. i hate being ignored.
Procrastination, lack of focus, time mismanagement....hmmmm...I recently read an article on Adult ADD. I'm seriously thinking of getting tested. At least then I'd have an excuse.
You are SO not the only one in that boat. Look at me... this is my first visit to my subscription page in... oh, three, five weeks...? ((blush!))
