  • Audio-photos. FINALLY.

Audio goes with photo ... best listened to on headphones.  (This is the first installment in a series that I have been planning, literally, for YEARS.)

[ I updated the timestamp on this post; I apologize to those who are seeing this come through their subscription list for a second time. ]

  • I love it.
This is a great idea ... but then again you are a terrific artist!!!!

  • Hands down one of the best conceptual art pieces I've ever heard of! Excellent work!

  • Ohhh I like thiss..............

  • are those oars on the ceiling?  (this idea you are playing with is excellent)

  • @JessieMollner -  Yes, oars and some sort of fish spearking fork (???!!) right near the middle.

  • Oh my God, Jodi, this is brilliance. I so love it. Absolutely love it. Can't wait to see more!!!!!

  • jodi!
    ah, i love you.
this sounds lame and collegey but it's like... the wasteland, you know,
but in a photograph (which is so much like a poem, really)

    xoxox

  • and, OH like glenn gould of course.
    but but different.
    and lovely.

  • It seems this ditty should be playing in the background.

    "Sometimes you want to go

    Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
    Your name."

I love the idea of it.    Very interesting.   Ava

  • ryc: glenn gould did those "sound documentaries" i mailed to you about a million years ago (i think i did ... i ... am pretty sure i did ... 3 cds of people talking in layers and trains and churches, etc). mrrrooowww

  • This is super cool.  I love artwork that is more than visual.

  • @fancy_eye - Oh, yes.  I have those three CDs (the trilogy) sitting on my desk upstairs.  I've been meaning to transfer them to the iPod.  For some reason, I just didn't know the name of the artist.  Thanks a million.  !!!

  • Sweet! I am so looking forward to more.

  • That is so cool!  Great idea.  I'm already thinking of possibilities for my own, but I kind of doubt I'll ever go through with it.

  • Oh, I love diners.  There's one in the town where my grandparent's live that's been there FOREVER..  So long that the cook looks like she's just been there for centuries.  I think she may have been, lol.  I need to get down there and take pictures while she's still going.

This is beautiful.  I love it.

  • We live in a small world. I know the place; of course. Another coincidence I've been meaning to tell you: my husband's email addy and other online user names contain "theotherone".   But that's cause he's a Deadhead, and that's a Dead song. But still.. it's a fun coincidence.

I like this concept. Very cool.

  • i love it!  i went to an art exhibit at a local gallery about a year ago, and one of the pieces was based on a similar concept.  i loved her take on paris subways and i love yours!
