  • This time, last year (via Photojojo's Time Capsule).  Please note:  The peonies are nowhere near ready to bloom, much less falling over from their own weight as in the photo above, because the weather has been entirely different this spring.

  • i love those succulents.  i'm hoping that when i have more space to grow things, people i know in real life will start listening and buying me succulents.

  • I think X is also a foot taller but I could be exaggerating.

  • Always interesting to go back and look at the patterns from seasons before!

  • I was going to ask if you would call the plants in the bottom photos succulents, but I see cathurynn has already answered that. I think I want to get some succulents for indoor. I already have cactus and I think they would be a good addition. Any idea on if they make good houseplants?

Oh, and I love peonies. A friend brought some to me once and they stunk up the whole apartment, but in a good way.

  • I that apron.

  • Some of my peonie bushes are falling over with the blooming others arent even budding.  I lost several trees this year due to the extended winter season.  Many flowers have thinned themselves out and look as if they will die out soon.  Its a very sad gardening year for me so far.

  • I'd forgotten there would be peonies to bloom this spring. Something to look forward to. Blessings abound

  • Gorgeous first pic......

  • You make the mundane beautiful.

  • @picassosinatra - Thank you.  That is one of my favorite compliments, along with 'your pictures are quiet'.

  • It's different here too - the wildflowers aren't near as thick as they were last year..

  • What simple elegance.
    I love the first photo.
    :)
    Hope you are feeling okay.
You and X have a wonderful day!
