  • The detail of this work is captivating!

All worthy of hanging on a wall!

  • the first fish one is my favorite, and the very last one is my second favorite.  they're all fucking gorgeous though. color me green with envy.

  • Oh Jodi... I really, REALLY, like these. I want to imitate you, but it is no use... you have such an excellent eye.

  • I've never seen a wave capture on film in such breath-taking detail. It reminds me of the famous Katsushika Hokusai painting.

I have your winter photos that I hang in the entry every year [and get loads of compliments]. I would like to do my entry in every season with your pictures. Eyeless fish may be required

  • It would be hard to pick a favorite, but the top one is definitely in contention.

  • A+mazing!!!!!!

  • what jenny g said. pffffft!

  • I love the sand colors. Inspiring:)

  • whirrrrrly bird!  :]

i love the colours of the rocks.  made me want to walk barefoot...except i'm sure the water's still way cold and i'd have to watch my step.  dead fish.  ick.  ick ick.  the bone's cool, though.
    are those translucent things shells?

can i ask any more questions?

  • excellent post - i love the textures and color

  • are these with the rented lens? I want to buy that lens so badly, its silly.

  • oh honey, that fish. it's killing me.

  • @LuckyStars - Those are fish scales, Marian.  I think it's from some sort of carp.

@ombrastarr - Yes, these are with the rented lens, a Canon macro.

  • @soNOTcool - fish scales?!  okay that's cool.  of course i love macro.  i've had one for my old school SLR for years but haven't sprung for one for my new dslr.  want to get a doubler for it first.
after i get my car fixed.
and buy sarah a new computer since hers broke.
and finish paying for the dog's surgery.
    and
    and
    and
    you know how it goes....

looking again [thru squinted eyes] at the one dead fish pic, i just noticed the rocks thru the eye.  that's pretty danged sweet, nature girl.    you're a braver soul than i.  i have issues with deaders and couldn't get that close.

  • Those water shots are pure awesome! The top photo, first fish, and spiral shell are also fantabulousa.
    You make me happy.

  • regarding the post before this one, that aveda rosemary & mint shampoo/conditioner smells amazing.. I used a sample of it the other day... good stuff. I love the last photo in this post, it's amazing that something as simple as water can be so pretty.

  • Oooo, you've been to the beach!   I am so envious!     I love the photos of the water the best.    If you know me, you know my favorite quote is from Isak Denison.
"The cure for anything is salt water, sweat, tears or the sea."

    And I believe it.

  • @avasouth - That is a lovely quote.
